[ I'ma Walk Like Nys ]
Created for `nyssi's avatar contest: meaning for her use only. Been a while since I've submitted anything, eh? Seems like this shall be the first of a couple (one's to come for *redness and *ph0enix) before I get back to what I do "best" (an emote, and some pixelart). So anyway, Nyssa is running an avatar contest for herself, which some pretty dandy prizes, so I thought 'what the hell' and played around to see what I could come up with. Initially, like most avatars, this was going to be way longer, with other stuff and the like, but there was no way known I could've fit it all in the 15kb size limit, so I simplified it to a relatively short looping sequence. Like Coppin' a sycho, I decided to sprite-afy Nys, using her pictures Self Conversation and I Need A Job as reference shots for the face and clothes, with a couple of pointers Nys gave me on preferences (I stuck with the jeans, but the black top just wouldn't have worked. Besides, the red looks sexy Anyway, I'm rambling. If you can't tell, the animation goes as follows: Now, that is a camera around her neck on some sort of cord. It's very roughly modelled around her current camera (a Canon Powershot A75) and I say roughly since my version is 5x6 pixels high. Hope you like it Nys, and great contest. Oh, and if you want anything modified, give me a bell. [ Credit ]: Comments and crit greatly appreciated. -Tom |

Everything in this room is eatable, even i'm eatable.
But that is called cannabalism, my dear children,
and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.
I have the impression that the frontmost arm becomes too short when it moves backwards (even considering the perspective and rotation), but it's the only critique I can give. I still don't see the other entries, but `nyssi would be proud to wear this one.
Sorry if this comment came too late, I haven't been paying attention to my devwatch lately.
The walking avatars are great, Tom. :]
very smooth, and yes, it does look like a camera.
