So, in the last journal I showed you some progress renders of my character. Well, he's all done, put in a temporary scene and he's been animated!
He now exists in a short 11 second animation which is my first proper shot at doing character animation. And I absolutely loved it. The piece itself isn't perfect, but I'm pretty stoked with his slide.

The viking animation looks awesome, though in his movements before stopping it feels a bit.. heavy. As if he's spending too much strength defying the laws of movement. I'm not sure how to explain it better.
